Ramen Survey Analysis

(Summary) Students answered 8 questions about Ramen.

(Results)

Graph#1 shows that most respondents like ramen. In fact , 75% responded "yes" , 25% responded "so-so" , and there were no "no" responses. These results are  not very surprising considering the popularity of ramen in Japan.

Graph #2 shows that Tonkotsu Ramen is the most popular kind of ramen. Perhaps the high results for tonkotsu are due to the fact that all respondents were college students. However, the fact that soy sauce and miso were also very popular was not surprising, as these two varieties are also very popular among the respondents.

Graph#3 shows that Tenkaippin and Rai Rai Tei are the respondents' favorite ramen stores. This result was not surprising since there are many of these stores in Japan. However, Graph #3 shows that each ramen store is popular.

Graph #4 shows that many participants eat ramen once a week. A very surprising result is that some participants eat ramen 6 times a week. As this graph shows, ramen is a favorite food of many Japanese university students.

Graph #5 shows that pork ramen is popular in most winters and fall. Also, soy sauce ramen is popular in summer. Perhaps it is that summer tends to favor those that are not too strong in flavor.

Graph #6 shows that all participants last ate ramen after late May. Note, however, that as many as four people ate it after June 13.

Graph #7 shows that the best time to eat ramen is generally later in the evening. Perhaps many participants eat on their way home from university.

Graph #8 shows what is the preferred topping for ramen. All items are about equal, indicating that preferences are diverse.

List #9 shows the memorable scenes in which participants ate ramen. Each participant listed a very different scene. Ramen has provided cherished memories for many people.

List #10 shows the types of new ramen dishes that participants devised if they were to consider them. Many of them ranged from very basic to unique.
